La compañía Meliá Hotels presenta su nuevo proyecto en Malasia

Meliá Hotels International continúa aumentando su catálogo de proyectos en la región de Asia-Pacífico con la firma de un nuevo establecimento en la ciudad malasia de Malaca.

El futuro ‘Meliá Melaka’ está siendo promovido por Haleton Group y prevé abrir sus puertas en 2020. Ubicado en el centro de esta ciudad, declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad y muy cercana a Kuala Lumpur y Singapur, el hotel dispondrá de 250 habitaciones, incluyendo parte de ellas bajo el servicio de alta gama ‘The Level’. Además, contará con jardín y piscina en la azotea, zona de tratamientos ‘YHI Spa’, gimnasio y varias opciones gastronómicas. La presencia de Meliá Hotels en Malasia se limita por el momento al ‘Meliá Kuala Lumpur’ (4E-288 habitaciones), en la capital. No obstante, tiene otros dos establecimientos en desarrollo en la ciudad de Nusajaya (Iskandar) , el ‘Meliá Iskandar Malasia’ (5E-450 habitaciones) y el ‘Innside Iskandar Johor’ (4E-350), cuyas aperturas se realizarán antes del hotel de Malaca.

La compañía mallorquina ha anunciado también la reciente apertura del ‘Meliá Shanghai Hongqiao’ , el tercer hotel del grupo en China. Se trata de un proyecto de 5E que fue firmado hace ahora dos años con la promotora Golden United Group. Cuenta con una oferta de 187 habitaciones, incluyendo la zona ‘The Level’, y tres villas independientes con 400 m2 y jardín. Asimismo, dispone de 700 m2 de espacios para eventos, ‘YHI Spa’ y una oferta gastronómica en la que destaca el restaurante ‘Merkado’, dirigido por el chef Abel López Reina y que combina cocina mediterránea y asiática, así como el bar ‘Garbo’. El hotel se suma al ‘Gran Meliá Xian’ (5E-389 habitaciones), el ‘Meliá Jinan’ (5E-230) y el ‘Innside Zhengzhou’ (4E-335), que será inaugurado en los próximos días.

Además, Meliá Hotels sigue reforzando su estrategia comercial en el gigante asiático, ampliando su colaboración con Ctrip, la principal agencia china de viajes online. La hotelera tiene previsto operar en torno a 40 hoteles en la zona de Asia-Pacífico en 2020, lo que supondrá más que quintuplicar su portfolio de 2010.
