China comienza su apertura a la almendra española

China ha autorizado a las primeras compañías españolas que podrán exportar almendra al país asiático. Por el momento, solo dos grupos cooperativos, Dcoop y Unió Nuts, han sido certificados por el Registro chino para vender parte de su producción en este mercado.

Las primeras certificaciones llegan gracias al acuerdo comercial que se firmó entre España y China en el mes de marzo y que conseguía dar respuesta al interés del sector para introducir sus producciones en el mercado asiático. China se convertía, así, en alternativa a la exportación de la almendra española, dado el estado de madurez en el que se encuentra el mercado europeo, principal receptor de las exportaciones desde España. En el último año, Europa ha acaparado el 86% de las exportaciones, con Francia, Alemania e Italia como principales destinos. Según estimaciones del sector, de inicio, China importará unas 50.000 t de almendra de España en grano, pudiendo llegar hasta las 90.000 t en 2032, estimándose unas ventas superiores a los 600 M€. La capacidad del país asiático para importar almendras supera las 200.000 t, abasteciéndose en la actualidad de almendras procedentes de California y Australia.

Para poder exportar a China, según apuntan desde Unió Nuts, ha sido necesario superar una exhaustiva auditoría de producto, certificado desde el origen, así como de sus instalaciones y procesos de calidad. Y es que para la entrada en este país, es necesario asegurar al 100% la trazabilidad del producto.

Desde Unió Nuts han declarado que la apertura en el mercado chino encaja dentro de su estrategia de crecimiento a nuevos mercados y la diversificación de sus clientes. Por otro lado, la exportación de almendra mediterránea a otros países también es estrategia comercial de Dcoop, cuya sección de Frutos Secos lleva operativa desde hace cinco año, habiendo experimentado una notable expansión en este período. La cooperativa andaluza comenzó su comercialización al exterior en 2022, con unas ventas por valor de 1,5 M, datos que prevé aumentar de forma significativa durante la campaña 2023-2024, a lo que sin duda contribuirá la apertura a China, uniéndose, además, sus primeras exportaciones de este fruto seco a India.
