Economía asumirá la competencia de Comercio en el nuevo Gobierno de España

El pasado 20 de noviembre el presidente del Gobierno de España, Pedro Sánchez, compareció en Moncloa para dar a conocer la composición de su nuevo Gobierno, después de comunicárselo al rey, Felipe VI, en el Palacio de La Zarzuela.

El nuevo Gobierno de coalición contará con cuatro vicepresidentas (Nadia Calviño, Yolanda Díaz, Teresa Ribera y María Jesús Montero) y un total de 22 ministerios, habiendo sido calificado por el propio Presidente como un Gobierno continuista en el área económica, «será continuista en el área económica y en los ministerios llamados de Estado«. En cualquier caso, es destacable que esta legislatura que ahora se estrena tendrá un alto perfil político que tendrá que ser solvente y sólido para ofrecer seguridad en un momento agitado por grandes transformaciones y desafíos.

Economía asumirá el área de Comercio

Pedro Sánchez anunció que el Ministerio de Economía, que dirigirá Nadia Calviño (quien redita la primera vicepresidencia) asumirá también las competencias de Comercio, hasta ahora incluidas en el Ministerio de Industria. Las competencias de Comercio pertenecían hasta ahora al Ministerio de Industria, que estará dirigido por el exalcalde de Barcelona Jordi Hereu y que mantendrá las competencias de Industria y Turismo.

Calviño ratifica a Xiana Méndez para el área de Comercio

Xiana Méndez, cuya responsabilidad en la Secretaría de Estado de Comercio se remonta a 2018, mantendrá su cargo, aunque bajo el paraguas del Ministerio de Nadia Calviño, quien manifestó en el traspaso de carteras que el hecho de concentrar Comercio en el Ministerio de Economía hará posible que se pueda articular mejor la política de atracción de inversiones estratégicas, marcando así uno de los principales objetivos para Méndez.

Xiana Méndez, que con una enorme solvencia profesional lleva ya cinco años al frente de la Secretaría de Estado de Comercio, inició su carrera profesional hace casi veinte en el Servicio de Defensa de la Competencia del Ministerio de Economía. Entre 2013 y 2015 desempeñó puestos en la Dirección General de Política Económica del Ministerio, especializándose en los sectores de transporte e infraestructuras y crédito oficial. Ese mismo año ingresó en el Cuerpo Superior de Técnicos Comerciales y Economistas del Estado.

Industria mantiene el área de Turismo

El Ministerio de Industria, que durante la pasada legislatura tenía también las competencias de Comercio y Turismo, a partir de ahora mantendrá solo Industria y Turismo. El ministerio estará dirigido por Jordi Hereu (exalcalde de Barcelona desde 2006 hasta 2011)

Los nuevos ministros españoles

Entre los nuevos ministros de la XV legislatura se encuentran: Ana Redondo, ministra de Igualdad; Óscar Puente, ministro de Transportes y Movilidad Sostenible; Diana Morant, ministra de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades; Isabel Rodríguez, ministra de Vivienda y Agenda Urbana; Mónica García, ministra de Sanidad; Sira Rego, ministra de Infancia y Juventud (nueva creación) y Pablo Bustinduy, ministro de Derechos Sociales y Consumo.
