Satisfactorio el acuerdo con el Reino Unido

El Club de Exportadores e Inversores Españoles ha difundido una nota en la que considera satisfactorio el acuerdo para los intereses españoles del brexit suscrito entre las autoridades de la Unión Europea y el Reino Unido el pasado 24 de diciembre.

Lo positivo del acuerdo es que se asegura la libre circulación de bienes entre ambos territorios y se permitirá que los productos españoles se puedan seguir vendiendo en el mercado británico sin restricciones cuantitativas y sin pagar aranceles.

“Es una buena noticia para los intereses españoles y supone, en buena medida, un alivio dentro de un entorno muy adverso para el sector exterior español como es el que se ha derivado de la pandemia”, asegura el presidente del Club de Exportadores, Antonio Bonet.

Como prueba de las estrechas relaciones económicas bilaterales, el Club de Exportadores e Inversores recuerda que el Reino Unido es el quinto destino de la exportación española de mercancías (con casi 20.000 millones de euros en 2019), el segundo destino de la inversión española en el mundo (con un stock de más de 78.000 millones de euros), el primer emisor de turistas a España (más de 18 millones de visitantes en 2019) y el primer inversor extranjero en el mercado inmobiliario español.

El presidente del Club de Exportadores, Antonio Bonet, afirma que el acuerdo del brexit disipa la posibilidad de un escenario caótico en las relaciones entre la Unión Europea y el Reino Unido a partir del 1 de enero, si bien se reintroducirán controles aduaneros en frontera. Por lo que se refiere al comercio de servicios, Antonio Bonet señala que el acuerdo “no es todo lo ambicioso que hubiéramos deseado”.
