Los productos andaluces se promocionan en el Spanish Food Festival en China

Un total de 16 empresas agroalimentarias andaluzas promocionan sus 78 productos en la promoción en puntos de venta de la cadena City Shop de Shanghái (China) que organiza por primera vez en el país la Consejería de Economía, Innovación y Ciencia, a través de Extenda y en colaboración con la Asociación Empresarial de la Calidad Certificada, Landaluz.

El Spanish Food Festival, fue inaugurado el pasado 25 de junio por Carlos Pascual, consejero comercial de la Ofecomes de Shanghái, y el señor Cui, presidente del grupo City Shop. La promoción finalizará el próximo día 10 de julio.

Las empresas andaluzas del sector agroalimentario que participan en esta acción están ya la mayoría presentes en el mercado chino, algunas de ellas en la propia cadena y también se abrió la convocatoria a firmas que no estaban en este mercado asiático. En cuanto a los sectores destacados y de interés detectado por el comprar chino se encuentran los productores de jamón (certificados para exportar a china), de quesos, chocolates, aceite de oliva y aceitunas, mieles y mermeladas, cervezas, agua y vino y aperitivos.

El objetivo es dar a conocer las marcas andaluzas en el mercado fomentar su presencia en cadenas de hipermercados chinas, así como introducir nuevos productos con creciente demanda en el mercado chino y apoyar la promoción de productos andaluces ya presentes en el mercado. Asimismo, esta acción ha contado con la colaboración de la Oficina de Promoción de Negocios de Extenda en Shanghái.

City Shop es la cadena más importante de productos importados de China y tiene diez supermercados en Shanghái y uno en Beijing, donde probablemente abrirán otro más este año. La cadena trabaja además en el canal horeca (hostelería y restauración), y tiene como principales clientes hoteles y restaurantes de alto nivel y ha sido proveedora de algunos pabellones durante la Expo de Shanghái.

Agroalimentación en China

Según los datos de Extenda, tanto el impresionante desarrollo económico que ha experimentado China en los últimos años y el nacimiento de una pujante clase media han disparado la demanda de productos de calidad y gourmet. Actualmente, las importaciones de productos agroalimentarios crecen a un 15% anual y, a pesar de la situación económica que afecta a la demanda en los mercados occidentales, todas las previsiones apuntan a que China mantendrá sus cifras de importación.

Los informes de la agencia indican que en el primer cuatrimestre de 2011 las exportaciones de agroalimentarios y bebidas andaluzas alcanzaron los 37,5 millones de euros, cuando en el mismo periodo de 2010 fue de tan sólo 7,3 millones de euros, lo que significa que en lo que llevamos de año se ha multiplicado por más de 5 la cantidad exportada a China.

Además, el total las exportaciones que se realizaron desde Andalucía a China en 2010 en agroalimentación y bebidas fueron por valor de 53 millones de euros, mientras que en 2009 fueron de 31,54 millones, lo que supone un incremento positivo del 68,45%.
