El Puerto de Valencia congela las tarifas a las navieras

Con esta medida se pretende fidelizar al naviero y captar el tráfico de contenedores en el Puerto.

Unos de los objetivos principales de la Autoridad Portuaria de Valencia es fidelizar al naviero y captar y consolidar el tráfico regular de contenedores en los puertos. Por ello, su Consejo de Administración ha aprobado varias medias orientadas a lograrlo; una de estas medidas es que se han congelado las tarifas que se cobran a las navieras por su atraque y estancia en Puerto. Los resultados, según datos de la Cámara de Comercio de Valencia, son más que positivos al cierre del mes de mayo: y es que ha habido un crecimiento del tráfico global del 5,23% respecto al mismo mes de 2009. Y en el apartado de los contenedores es donde más incremento se ha registrado (8,32%). Por su parte, en el traslado en tránsito ha aumentado un 6% y hasta un 11 % han alcanzado las exportaciones e importaciones.

Por otro lado, la Ley de Puertos ha sufrido un nuevo retraso y volverá al Congreso. Y es que recientemente la Comisión de Fomento aprobó el dictamen del Proyecto de Ley de Modificación de la Ley 48/2003 de 26 de noviembre de régimen económico y de prestación de servicios en los puertos de interés general. De esta forma, y siguiendo los trámites previstos, el proyecto de ley se incluyó en el Pleno del Senado del 23 de Junio para su debate y posterior votación. Surgió entonces la sorpresa cuando por unanimidad se aceptó la enmienda presentada por el Grupo Mixto en torno a la configuración de los Consejos de Administración de las autoridades portuarias y la inclusión de la figura del cabildo. Se desmontaban así las previsiones de que la nueva ley vivía su último trámite, a excepción de la publicación del texto en el BOE. Ahora será el Congreso de los Diputados el que de nuevo debata y ratifique la modificación y dé luz verde definitiva a la nueva ley.
