Primera Comisión Mixta entre España y Vietnam

España y Vietnam han celebrado la primera sesión de la Comisión Mixta de Cooperación Económica, un hito que marca el inicio de una nueva etapa en las relaciones bilaterales entre ambos países. El encuentro tuvo lugar en la sede del Ministerio de Economía, Comercio y Empresa, con la participación de la secretaria de Estado de Comercio, Amparo López Senovilla, y la viceministra de Industria y Comercio de Vietnam, Phan Thi Thang, quienes firmaron el acta oficial de la sesión.

Vietnam se consolida como un socio estratégico para España en Asia, y ambas delegaciones han reafirmado su compromiso de ampliar la colaboración en sectores clave como las energías renovables, infraestructuras ferroviarias, gestión del agua, agroindustria, turismo, ciencia y tecnología.

En el actual contexto internacional, marcado por la necesidad de diversificar mercados, esta Comisión Mixta se configura como un foro bilateral de alto nivel para fortalecer los vínculos económicos y abrir nuevas oportunidades a las empresas españolas en el Sudeste Asiático.

Durante la reunión, se abordaron los flujos comerciales y de inversión entre ambos países, destacando el creciente papel de Vietnam como socio prioritario para España en la región. A pesar del avance logrado en los últimos años, ambas partes coincidieron en que existe un amplio margen para intensificar las relaciones económicas, especialmente tras la firma del Protocolo Financiero en abril.

Asimismo, se identificaron áreas de cooperación estratégica como las energías verdes, tecnologías, agricultura y pesca, defensa y turismo. Los representantes subrayaron la importancia de promover proyectos conjuntos que impulsen el comercio, la inversión y el desarrollo sostenible.

La sesión también permitió revisar el potencial del Acuerdo de Libre Comercio entre la Unión Europea y Vietnam (EVFTA), en vigor desde agosto de 2020, que ha eliminado barreras arancelarias y técnicas, facilitando el acceso de productos españoles al mercado vietnamita.

Relaciones comerciales España – Vietnam

Las relaciones económicas entre España y Vietnam han mostrado un crecimiento sostenido en los últimos años.

El comercio de bienes entre España y Vietnam es el más importante dentro de los países de la Asociación de Naciones del Sudeste Asiático (ASEAN). Los intercambios bilaterales en 2024 ascendieron a 5.786 millones de euros, lo que supone que Vietnam concentra el 35,7% del comercio de España dentro de la región ASEAN. Por su parte, el stock de inversión española en Vietnam alcanzó los 67,2 millones de euros en junio de 2025.

Además, en la visita del presidente del Gobierno español a Vietnam en abril de 2025, ambos países firmaron acuerdos para reforzar la cooperación económica, incluyendo memorandos en áreas como seguridad alimentaria, infraestructuras y educación diplomática. Esta visita supuso un hito en las relaciones bilaterales, elevando el nivel de la asociación estratégica integral entre España y Vietnam.
