Recuperación de las ventas agroalimentarias de la UE

Según el último informe sobre comercio agroalimentario publicado por la Comisión Europea, el valor del superávit comercial agroalimentario de la UE se recuperó hasta los 4.400 millones de euros.

Así, las exportaciones aumentaron en febrero de 2025, mientras que las importaciones disminuyeron ligeramente, pero se mantuvieron significativamente por encima de las del mes de febrero de 2024, debido principalmente al aumento de los precios mundiales.

Las ventas a los mercados de países terceros de productos agroalimentarias de la UE alcanzaron los 19.600 millones de euros en febrero de 2025, con un incremento mensual del 3% y un aumento del 1,4% con respecto a febrero de 2024.

Reino Unido se mantuvo como el principal destino, con un incremento de 322 millones de euros (+4%), impulsado por el aumento de las exportaciones de cacao, productos de café y proteaginosas.

El fuerte aumento de los precios del cacao y el café fue determinante también, porque impulsó las exportaciones agroalimentarias de la UE a principios de este año.

Los productos relacionados con el cacao lideraron el crecimiento, con 758 millones de euros (+52%), seguidos de los productos de confitería (329 millones de euros, +19%) y los productos lácteos (158 millones de euros, +5%).

Sin embargo, las exportaciones de cereales experimentaron una caída, debido a la disminución de los volúmenes (767 millones de euros, -30%).

Las exportaciones de preparaciones de frutas, frutos secos y hortalizas se redujeron también a causa de la reducción de los volúmenes, mientras que las exportaciones de aceite de oliva bajaron, en este causo debido a la caída de los precios unitarios de venta.

Importaciones agroalimentarias

Las importaciones agroalimentarias de la UE alcanzaron un valor de 15.200 millones de euros en febrero de 2025, un 5% menos que en enero, pero aún un 15% más que los niveles del año pasado, debido a los altos precios mundiales, especialmente del cacao y el café.

Las importaciones de Costa de Marfil (733 millones de euros, +73%), China (447 millones, +32%), Canadá (344 millones, +80%) y Australia (330 millones, +149%) aumentaron considerablemente, lo que refleja el aumento de los volúmenes y los precios de los productos básicos clave.

Los altos precios del cacao, el café, las frutas y los frutos secos impulsaron los valores de las importaciones de la UE al alza a principios de 2025.

El cacao y el café por sí solos representaron un aumento de 2.500 millones de euros (+59%), mientras que las frutas y los frutos secos añadieron otros 772 millones de euros (+20%).
