España destino consolidado para la inversión extranjera

España ocupa en 2022 el puesto décimosegundo en la lista de destinos de inversión extranjera directa y gana cinco puestos con respecto a su posición del año anterior, según el último Informe sobre Inversiones Globales que ha publicado hoy la Agencia de las Naciones Unidas sobre Comercio y Desarrollo (UNCTAD).

Según muestra este informe, España recibió 35.000 millones de dólares en inversiones directas procedentes del exterior en 2022, frente a los 22.000 del año anterior. Esto hace que nuestro país se sitúe como el país europeo que más progresó en este ámbito después de Suecia, que ocupa el décimo puesto, mientras que Francia se encuentra en la undécima posición.

Para la secretaria de Estado de Comercio, Xiana Méndez: Estos datos muestran que España es un destino claro y consolidado para la inversión extranjera. España ganó en 2022 cuota de mercado en la atracción de inversión , creciendo un 58,5% respecto al año anterior, hasta los 34.811 millones de dólares.

Como señala el Informe sobre Inversiones Globales de la UNCTAD, las inversiones extranjeras cayeron un 12% a nivel global a consecuencia de los efectos de la guerra en Ucrania, después de haber experimentado un fuerte repunte en el año 2021.

Nuestro país cuenta con numerosos atractivos estructurales y seguridad jurídica que le convierten es un destino idóneo para proyectos de inversión extranjera, explica Xiana Méndez. Además, se han impulsado un proceso de transformación en nuestra economía, hacia un modelo productivo más competitivo, sostenible y digital, que ha reforzado nuestro posicionamiento en los mercados internacionales en el actual contexto de inestabilidad geopolítica y retos mundiales.

Además, España se encuentra entre los cinco países del mundo con más acuerdos de financiación de proyectos internacionales. Concretamente, ocupa la cuarta posición con 152 proyectos. Los cinco principales destinatarios por número de proyectos fueron Estados Unidos (301 proyectos), India (187), Reino Unido (183), España (152) y Brasil (138).

Seguridad jurídica y mejores plazos para la inversión extranjera

Recientemente, se ha aprobado el real decreto que desarrolla el régimen normativo de control de inversiones que ya fue aprobado en marzo de 2020, a través del artículo 7bis de la Ley 19/2003. El resultado es una normativa de inversiones clara, predecible y con mayor seguridad jurídica, que se adapta a la normativa europea.

Permite equilibrar la necesaria vigilancia de la salud, seguridad y orden público junto con la voluntad de transformar España en un destino prioritario para la inversión internacional.

Para ello, esta nueva normativa clarifica los sectores y operaciones que requieren autorización previa, reduce los plazos de respuesta y resolución, así como disminuye las cargas administrativas.
