Turismo

España recupera en julio el turismo internacional

España recibió en julio la visita de cerca de 9,1 millones de turistas internacionales que gastaron en su desplazamiento un total de 11.869 millones de euros, según los datos de las encuestas Frontur y Egatur, publicado por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE). Estas cifras muestran la recuperación del turismo internacional, y suponen recuperar el 92% de las llegadas del mismo mes de 2019 y prácticamente igualan el gasto de julio de 2019 (-0,6%).

“Se trata de unos datos extraordinarios que confirman nuestras previsiones con respecto a que en 2022 ya sí viviríamos un verano como los de antes, pese al desafío que representaba el actual contexto de inflación. A la recuperación de nuestros mercados principales europeos, se suma el crecimiento en las llegadas procedentes de EEUU, un mercado que se va acercando también a las cifras prepandemia”, ha valorado la ministra de Industria, Comercio y Turismo, Reyes Maroto.

En julio, el gasto medio por turista se ha incrementado en 100 euros en comparación con el mismo mes de 2019, pasando de 1.209 a 1.309 euros. Crece también la estancia media de 7,5 a 7,7 días. En el acumulado del año, en julio las llegadas superan los 39 millones y el gasto alcanza los 47.637 millones de euros.

Crecimiento del turismo internacional de EE.UU.

Reino Unido fue el principal mercado emisor con 1,9 millones de turistas (el 88% de los que vinieron en julio de 2019); seguido de Francia, con más de 1,4 millones (98% respecto de 2019) y Alemania, con cerca de 1,1 millones que representan el 88% de los que llegaron en la prepandemia.

Varios mercados han emitido más viajeros hacia España que en la etapa prepandémica, como es el caso de Países Bajos, con 556.650 (+9,5%); Bélgica 418.309 (+8,6%); o Portugal, con 301.749 (+17,6%).

Entre los mercados lejanos, destaca el buen comportamiento de EEUU, que ha emitido 361.498 turistas, equivalente al 85% de las llegadas de julio de 2019.

CCAA principales de destino

Las Islas Baleares fueron el principal destino elegido por los turistas internacionales en julio. Uno de cada cuatro turistas que vino a España se dirigió a este archipiélago, que recibió así casi 2,3 millones de turistas, principalmente británicos y alemanes. Baleares alcanza prácticamente los números prepandémicos, con una recuperación del 97% frente a julio de 2019.

Le sigue Cataluña con cerca de dos millones, que representan el 83% de las llegadas del mismo mes de 2019. Cataluña es elegida principalmente por franceses y otros países europeos.

En tercer lugar, la Comunidad Valenciana recibió 1,1 millones de turistas internacionales, principalmente británicos y franceses, que suponen el 90,5% de los que llegaron en 2019.

En el acumulado del año las comunidades que más turistas reciben son Cataluña, con casi 8 millones; Islas Baleares, con casi 7,5 millones y Canarias, con casi 6,8 millones.
