Logística

El tráfico total portuario crece un 5,9% respecto a 2021

Los 46 puertos de interés general del Estado, que coordina Puertos del Estado, alcanzó un tráfico total de los 185.253.757 toneladas en los cuatro primeros meses de 2022, lo cual supuso un incremento del 5,92% respecto al mismo periodo del año anterior. Con estos datos prácticamente se alcanzan los máximos históricos del tráfico portuario logrados en 2019, año en que se alcanzaron los 186,2 millones de toneladas, con una diferencia de apenas 957 mil toneladas (-0,5%).

Los graneles líquidos marcan un nuevo máximo histórico, con 60.047.994 y un crecimiento de un 12,9%. En este grupo, el gas natural, con más de 7,5 millones de toneladas, creció un +73,5%, la gasolina (5,4 millones) +30%, y el petróleo crudo (20,7 millones) +14%.

Los graneles sólidos, que crecieron un +12,5%, superaron los 30,2 millones de toneladas, siendo especialmente significativo el incremento del tráfico portuario de los cereales y sus harinas (+59,3%) con cerca de 5 millones de toneladas, el carbón y coque de petróleo (+34,1%) con 5,5 millones, y los 5,6 millones de toneladas de minerales no metálicos (+15%).

Finalmente, la mercancía general, el grupo más numeroso con más de 90 millones de toneladas, aún está -1,2% por debajo de los datos de 2021, aunque la mercancía general convencional (27,2 millones de toneladas) ha crecido un +9,7%, y ya supera los datos prepandemia. A esta subida han contribuido productos como las maderas y corcho (+24,6%), o los vinos, bebidas, alcoholes y derivados (+13%).

El tráfico ro-ro, vehículos industriales cargados de mercancías que se embarcan, sigue creciendo a un ritmo del +10,7% respecto al año anterior, superando los 22,8 millones de toneladas, y más del +6% en comparación con los datos de 2019. Este incremento se ha notado particularmente en el número de remolques y plataformas embarcadas que alcanzaron los 448.578 unidades.

El tráfico de contenedores, contabilizados en TEUs, ha disminuido en -2,9%, situándose en 5,66 millones de TEUs. El mayor descenso se ha producido en los contenedores en tránsito (-5,2%) que suponen cerca del 54% de los contenedores movidos.

Tráfico de pasajeros

El tráfico de pasajeros continua recuperándose, y se ha apuntado un incremento del +147% en el total, superándose los 6,1 millones de pasajeros, porcentaje que ha sido mucho mayor en el tráfico de cruceristas que con 1,4 millones de pasajeros crece un +718%, aunque aún supone el 50% de la cifra de 2019, año en el que por estas fechas se contabilizaban 2,8 millones de cruceristas. Este hecho se debe a que, a pesar del buen comportamiento en el número de escalas de cruceros, un 20% más que en 2019 (1.355 escalas en los primeros cuatro meses), los buques aún no presentaban niveles de ocupación del 100% del pasaje, debido a razones sanitarias.
