BBVA líder en banca móvil durante el tercer trimestre de 2020

El uso de la banca móvil en el tercer trimestre del este año batió un nuevo record con un reach del 70,8%, un 9,8% más que en el trimestre anterior, según el MPIx®, Mobile Performance Index. El índice, elaborado por la compañía de tecnología observacional Smartme Analytics, en el que destaca la app del BBVA líder en la banca móvil, con una puntuación de 69,8 sobre 100, seguida de CaixaBank, con 68,03, Bankia, con 54,61, Sansung Pay, con 54,34 e Imagin, con 49,91.

El nuevo grupo CaixaBank-Bankia consigue colocar 3 aplicaciones -CaixaBank, Bankia e Imagin- en el Top 5 del Mobile Performance Index (MPIx©) de Smartme Analytics. Sin embargo, a pesar de su presencia mayoritaria, BBVA consigue escalar a la primera posición del ranking. Una subida que está justificada por el crecimiento en el uso de la aplicación en todos los grupos de edad, especialmente en la Generación Z, donde el uso ha crecido un 12,8%. Por su parte, Bankia y Samsung Pay, mantienen la tercera y cuarta posición del trimestre anterior, gracias al crecimiento continuado que han mantenido durante todo el año y entra en el Top5 imagin, la aplicación del grupo CaixaBank dedicada al target más joven.

Se quedan fuera del Top5 ING y Santander, que se han retrasado en la carrera por captar a los usuarios jóvenes que se incorporan a la banca. Destaca, el reach del sector finanzas alcanza ya en el 70,8% y continúa el crecimiento que ya quedó iniciado en el trimestre anterior por la digitalización acelerada que han sufrido muchos sectores debido a la pandemia.

El aumento generalizado de múltiples aplicaciones de banca, tanto nuevas como tradicionales, ha provocado a su vez una caída del Engagement. Esto se explica porque muchos usuarios se han lanzado a probar nuevos bancos digitales durante la cuarentena para realizar compras online con una tarjeta diferente a la que utilizan habitualmente.

El Índice MPIx®

El Mobile Performance Index, de Smartme Analytics, monitoriza en tiempo real el uso de más de 90 aplicaciones financieras y elabora trimestralmente un ranking con las mejores aplicaciones bancarias según su rendimiento. En su elaboración, el MPIx® utiliza un algoritmo que permite identificar las entidades mejor posicionadas en el canal móvil en base a las variables más relevantes relacionadas con el desarrollo de la estrategia mobile: cuota de mercado, tiempo de uso al día, tiempo por sesión, engagement y frecuencia de uso exclusivo y compartido, valoraciones en los stores, o penetración de ciertos grupos determinantes como los Millennials y la Generación Z.
