COFIDES apoya la consolidación productiva de Ibarmia Innovatek en China

Ibarmia es una empresa de origen familiar fundada en Azcoitia en 1945.

Ibarmia Innovatek se afianza en China con el apoyo de COFIDES. Especializada en el sector de la máquina-herramienta, la pyme vasca ha decidido aumentar su stock de seguridad y modernizar sus instalaciones en el país, donde comercializa sus productos desde hace 10 años.

COFIDES proporcionará un préstamo de coinversión de 1,7 millones de euros a la sociedad de proyecto, Shandong Ibarmia CNC Machine Manufacturing Co., Ltd., con cargo al FONPYME. La financiación se destinará a fortalecer la joint venture creada por Ibarmia en 2017, proyecto que contó con el apoyo de COFIDES. La inversión total asciende a 2,7 millones de euros.

China constituye uno de los mercados con mayor crecimiento en el sector y es uno de los países más relevantes para el futuro de la compañía. Además de ser el mayor consumidor de máquina-herramienta (seguido por Estados Unidos, Alemania y Japón), el país también es el primer fabricante del sector.

El Presidente de COFIDES, José Luis Curbelo, ha indicado que “uno de los objetivos esenciales de COFIDES es apoyar a las pymes para que crezcan en el exterior, mejoren su competitividad global, y contribuyan al fortalecimiento de la infraestructura productiva y a la generación de empleo, objetivos que potencian el logro de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible”.

Este proyecto contribuye a la consecución del Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) 8 (Trabajo decente y crecimiento económico), ya que la instalación implica la contratación de personal, con efectos positivos tanto en España como en el exterior. También incide en el ODS 9 (Industria, innovación e infraestructura), al utilizar los recursos de manera más eficaz y generar menos residuos.

Ibarmia es una empresa de origen familiar fundada en Azcoitia en 1945. Su actividad incluye el diseño, fabricación y comercialización de centros de mecanizado de alto contenido tecnológico. Los principales sectores para los que trabaja son el aeronáutico, el automovilístico, el gasístico y el ferroviario. Recientemente, ha sido galardonada con el premio Pyme del Año 2019 de Guipúzcoa. También ha sido incluida en el grupo Cepyme500 compuesto por las 500 empresas españolas líderes en crecimiento empresarial.
