Desde su nacimiento hace 50 años, amec ha promovido la exportación y la internacionalización de las empresas y la economía. Sin embargo, desde hace tiempo el entorno es completamente cambiante y la rapidez en la capacidad de adaptación es un factor determinante para las organizaciones.

Por ello en los últimos Fórums que ha celebrado, en los que reúne cada año a la industria internacionalizada, se ha reflejado cómo los temas que la preocupan van mucho más allá de la internacionalización: en 2015 la temática central fue la industria adaptativa y el entorno VUCA; en 2016 la importancia del talento; en 2017 la digitalización; en 2018 los ecosistemas colaborativos; y en 2019 cómo debe ser la empresa de 2030. De esta forma, amec ha cambiado su foco, de la internacionalización a la industria internacionalizada.

Nos encontramos además ante un cambio de paradigma a escala mundial que nos conducirá, inevitablemente, de la era industrial a la era integral. Hemos vivido, como indican los expertos, en la era del Antropoceno, en la que las tendencias socioeconómicas de la humanidad están teniendo un efecto directo en el planeta. Los expertos sitúan su inicio precisamente en la revolución industrial. Debido a las importantes repercusiones que comporta, todo está empezando a cambiar. “Ahora no vivimos en una época de cambios sino en un cambio de era. Un cambio inevitable, tal y como demuestra la potencia con la que han irrumpido las ODS en el entorno social, empresarial y político mundial”, explica el director general de amec, Joan Tristany.

La nueva misión de amec, se centra a partir de este momento en dar herramientas a las empresas asociadas para el proceso del cambio de era/paradigma y su nueva misión es impulsar los nuevos factores clave de competitividad en las empresas: anticipación, adaptabilidad, colaboración, glocalización y sostenibilidad.

Ante todo ello, amec considera que la industria juega un papel relevante en este cambio de era, motivo por el que la asociación va más allá y quiere ser trascendente marcándose un nuevo Propósito: contribuir, desde la industria, a que el cambio de era sea seguro, transversal y positivo para las personas y para el planeta.
