Santander, primera empresa que certifica con AENOR la sostenibilidad de su Investor Day

AENOR ha certificado que todos los procesos para la celebración del Investor Day han seguido criterios de sostenibilidad

Banco Santander ha obtenido el certificado AENOR del sistema de gestión de eventos sostenibles, que acredita la sostenibilidad de su reunión con inversores (Investor Day), que se ha celebrado el pasado 3 de abril en Londres. De esta forma, Banco Santander se convierte en la primera empresa que recibe este reconocimiento de AENOR, basado en la Norma UNE-ISO 20121, por un encuentro con inversores, analistas y agencias de rating.

La UNE-ISO 20121 establece los requisitos para desarrollar un sistema de gestión de la sostenibilidad para cualquier tipo de evento o actividad relacionada con el mismo. El banco ya obtuvo el año pasado y en 2017 este reconocimiento en lo que se refiere a la Junta de Accionistas.

AENOR ha certificado que todos los procesos para la celebración del Investor Day han seguido criterios de sostenibilidad que permiten reducir sus impactos y generar beneficios económicos, ambientales y sociales en el entorno donde se realizan.

Entre sus beneficios, esta certificación fomenta la reducción del consumo de recursos como agua, energía o residuos, entre otros. Además, favorece la contratación de proveedores locales y de trabajadores en riesgo de exclusión, así como el uso del transporte colectivo.

Es la manera más directa de demostrar ante terceros el compromiso público y ético de la organización con la sociedad, el medio ambiente y la sostenibilidad, al tiempo que ayuda a mejorar la reputación y coherencia con la política de responsabilidad social, por ejemplo, fomentando compromisos con los proveedores.

La Norma UNE-ISO 20121 ofrece criterios para las diferentes etapas y actividades: diseño, planificación, realización, implementación, revisión y actividades posteriores al evento sostenible.
