Iberia inaugura su ruta a Buenos Aires con el nuevo A350-900

La aeronave, bautizada Plácido Domingo y con matrícula EC-MXV, cerró en los últimos días este recorrido por primera vez, aprovechando una de las rutas más habituales para su historia, dado que Iberia vuela desde hace más de 70 años hacia el país sudamericano.

No sólo de la incorporación de tecnología a sus vuelos se tratará el 2019 para Iberia, sino que la compañía aérea acaba de anunciar la realización de la primera ruta que unirá Madrid y el aeropuerto argentino de Ezeiza, en Buenos Aires a bordo de un A350-900 recién adquirido por la firma.

Por otro lado, no podemos perder de vista que éste es el primero de los mercados en los que operará este avión bimotor pero se espera que pronto otras unidades lleguen a más destinos de América Latina.

El mismo cuenta con un alcance de 14.800 kilómetros, con algunas ventajas muy específicas como por ejemplo que consume un tercio menos de combustible que otras naves, mientras que este recorrido en particular lo realiza en 30 minutos menos que sus antecesores.
De acuerdo a lo que en su momento ha informado la propia Iberia, la compañía recibirá un total de 16 unidades de este modelo hasta el año 2021, siendo Buenos Aires el segundo destino al que arriba alguna de ellas, sólo por detrás de Nueva York. Desde el próximo mes de mayo, el A350-900 llegará a Chicago.

Terminando con las características de esta nave, debemos decir que posee una capacidad es de 348 pasajeros en clases Business, Turista Premium y Turista; al tiempo que Ezeiza Miguel Navarro, delegado de Iberia en Argentina, ha destacado que se encuentran “orgullosos ya que hemos traído a Argentina nuestro avión más avanzado, nuestro mejor producto”.
