Garrigues, premiada como firma transatlántica del año

Garrigues ha sido galardonado con el premio a la firma independiente del año por su actividad transfronteriza entre América y Europa (Transatlantic Independent Law Firm of the Year).

Garrigues ha sido galardonado con el premio a la firma independiente del año por su actividad transfronteriza entre América y Europa (Transatlantic Independent Law Firm of the Year). Este galardón lo concede anualmente el grupo internacional de información ALM, que con base en EE.UU. y Reino Unido, edita publicaciones especializadas como The American Lawyer, Corporate Counsel o Legal Week.

Los Transatlantic Legal Awards, entregados en Londres, tienen el objetivo de reconocer el trabajo que desarrollan los despachos internacionales en las operaciones y asuntos desarrollados entre América y Europa, con especial foco en las grandes transacciones que conectan ambos continentes. En este marco, uno de los aspectos mejor valorados ha sido la red latinoamericana de Garrigues, con un equipo de 140 personas distribuidas en las sedes de Colombia, Perú, México, Chile y Brasil, que además cuentan con el apoyo de la oficina de Nueva York. También se ha valorado la implantación de Garrigues en Europa, con presencia en cinco países, y en Asia, con oficinas en Shanghái y Beijing, ciudades estratégicas para la inversión en China y para la coordinación de operaciones entre Asia, América y el continente europeo.

El equipo editorial de ALM también ha evaluado otros aspectos como la innovación del despacho, un área en la que ha destacado el Innovation Think Tank de Garrigues, así como el compromiso de la firma con el talento, la diversidad y la responsabilidad social empresarial.

Con este premio transatlántico, Garrigues logra en los últimos seis meses el reconocimiento internacional del sector jurídico en los principales mercados en los que opera. A finales de 2017 consiguió el galardón a la firma europea del año en los British Legal Awards y en marzo de 2018 fue premiado por The Lawyer como el mejor despacho ibérico.
