Madrid se convierte en el destino estrella del turista asiático

En los ocho primeros meses de 2016 han visitado nuestro país 240.000 turistas chinos. El turista chino gasta una media de 1.400 euros en el comercio madrileño durante su visita

Esta semana, periodistas e influencers de China y Taiwán se encuentran de visita en Madrid, en un press trip organizado por la Cámara de Comercio de Madrid y la Dirección General de Comercio y Consumo de la Comunidad de Madrid que recorrerá los puntos de interés turístico y comercial más destacados de la capital.

Durante el acto de bienvenida, organizado en el emblemático Palacio de Santoña, la prensa de ambos países asiáticos ha tenido oportunidad de descubrir la amplia y variada oferta cultural, gastronómica y comercial que ofrece Madrid. En la presentación se ha subrayado la alta capacidad y el elevado nivel de preparación de la capital para acoger al visitante extranjero. Como principal centro económico y financiero de España, Madrid acoge a más de 500.000 empresas, de las cuales más de 2.000 son multinacionales con sede en la ciudad. Por otro lado, destaca por sus excelentes infraestructuras en transporte público y una ubicación estratégica que la convierte en un punto de interconexión clave, sobre todo con el continente africano y latinoamericano.

Carlos Prieto, director gerente de la Cámara de Comercio de Madrid, encargado de dar la bienvenida al grupo de periodistas e influencers de China y Taiwán, quiso destacar la “hospitalidad de los madrileños, su riqueza cultural, comercial y gastronómica y un inmenso potencial turístico que atrae a más de 10 millones de turistas cada año”. Asimismo, Mª José Pérez-Cejuela, directora general de Comercio y Consumo de la Comunidad de Madrid, compartió con todos los asistentes al acto, algunos datos clave sobre el potencial turístico de la región madrileña: “En los ocho primeros meses de 2016 nos han visitado 240.000 turistas chinos y Madrid absorbe el 30% del total. Una de sus actividades preferentes es el turismo de compras. Este tipo de turismo mueve anualmente en nuestro país 5.400 millones de euros, con un ritmo de crecimiento del 7% anual”.

Esta visita, que se enmarca dentro de la campaña ‘Madrid 7 estrellas’ integrada dentro del Plan Integral de Apoyo a la Competitividad del Comercio Minorista del Gobierno de España, tiene como objetivo posicionar el comercio madrileño como referente en mercados emisores como China.

Con este fin, se han impulsado distintas iniciativas que buscan facilitar su visita a los turistas orientales. Así, se ha desarrollado la web madrid-gouwu.cn, disponible íntegramente en el idioma chino o la app, Madrid Shopping Experience, que les ayuda a organizar fácilmente sus compras.

La oferta gastronómica de la capital es otro de los atractivos para el turista internacional. Durante su visita, el grupo asiático podrá degustar los platos más tradicionales de la cocina madrileña y dejarse inspirar por los chefs con estrellas Michelín con presencia la capital.

Durante 2015, 120 millones de chinos viajaron al extranjero, lo que supone un crecimiento de un 150% respecto a 2009. En los ocho primeros meses de 2016 han visitado nuestro país 240.000 turistas chinos y Madrid absorbe el 30% del total.
