España acaparará este año el 6% del turismo de compras en el mundo

España concentrará el 6% del gasto mundial en compras en 2016 gracias al aumento del turismo y a que el 60% de los viajeros de negocios le suman tiempo de ocio a su viaje de trabajo.

El turismo de compras es una de las razones fundamentales por las que el sector del comercio minorista representa el 32% de la inversión en el sector inmobiliario no residencial (1.120 millones de los 3.500 millones de euros que se generaron en el primer semestre del año). “España reúne todas las condiciones como destino que combina un alto nivel en el sector del comercio, un amplio tejido empresarial y el interés turístico propio de un país de primer orden mundial”, asegura el socio fundador de Laborde Marcet, empresa que gestiona patrimonios e inversiones inmobiliarias, Gerard Marcet. Madrid representa el 39% del turismo de compras de España, mientras Barcelona acapara hasta un 48% del total. Tanto es así que uno de cada tres viajeros que pasa por la capital catalana sitúa las compras como su actividad principal en su visita a la ciudad.

La calle Preciados, en Madrid; Paseo de Gracia y Portal del Ángel, en Barcelona; la calle Colón, en Valencia; la calle Larios, en Málaga, o la Gran Vía don Diego López de Haro, en Bilbao, son las principales arterias comerciales de España para este tipo de turismo. El turismo extracomunitario, que concentra gran parte del turismo de compras, se centra en cadenas de alto nivel de productos de moda y joyería. El gasto medio es de 490 euros por compra y roza los 1.000 euros en visitantes procedentes de China y Hong Kong. Por su parte, el pequeño comercio capta el 10% del dinero que éstos se dejan en el país. En España las ventas libres de impuestos han aumentado un 41% en 2016, hasta los 2.030 millones de euros. Entre los que más dinero se dejan en territorio español destacan los turistas chinos, que aglutinan un 35% del gasto total efectuado por visitantes no pertenecientes a la Unión Europea. El turismo ruso, segundo de la lista, redujo su gasto un 14% por la devaluación de su moneda y el precio del crudo.
