Aumenta la concentración en el sector de las energías renovables

Las operaciones corporativas acometidas en los últimos meses por varios fondos de inversión, que han comprado participaciones en algunos de los principales grupos de empresas y carteras de activos, han hecho que aumente la concentración en el sector de energías renovables.

En los últimos meses se han producido numerosas operaciones corporativas, la mayor parte protagonizadas por fondos de inversión extranjeros, que han adquirido participaciones en algunos de los principales operadores del sector de energías renovables e importantes carteras de activos en funcionamiento, lo que contribuye al aumento de la concentración sectorial, según el Observatorio Sectorial DBK de Informa.

Así, los datos muestran que los diez primeros grupos del sector reunieron de forma conjunta el 56,6% de la potencia instalada total en 2015.

Por segmentos, los de energía eólica y energía solar termoeléctrica presentan una alta concentración, alcanzando los diez primeros grupos cuotas respectivas del 70,3% y el 74,0%., mientras que el de energía solar fotovoltaica sigue caracterizándose por una elevada atomización, reuniendo los diez primeros únicamente el 13,0%.

Sin embargo, según el Observatorio, se observa un estancamiento en la capacidad instalada acumulada de energías renovables, que ascendió a 32.805 megavatios al término de 2015, lo que supuso un incremento de sólo el 0,1% con respecto al ejercicio anterior.

En términos de valor, el negocio eólico, con unos ingresos de 3.396 millones de euros, aportó el 43,6% del total, mientras que la energía solar alcanzó los 4.400 millones de euros, el segmento fotovoltaico facturó 2.860 millones y 1.540 millones el de energía termoeléctrica.

Las instalaciones eólicas son las que tienen un mayor peso en términos de potencia instalada, con el 70% del total; seguidas de las instalaciones de energía solar fotovoltaica, con el 14%; y las plantas solares termoeléctricas, con el 7%. El porcentaje restante se reparte entre centrales hidráulicas en régimen especial y plantas de biomasa.

A finales de 2015 existían un total de 1.357 parques eólicos, los cuales contaban con una potencia total de 22.988 megavatios. En el segmento de energía solar fotovoltaica, la potencia alcanzó los 4.671 megavatios en 2015, mientras que el número de plantas de energía solar termoeléctrica se mantiene en 51 desde 2013, totalizando 2.300 megavatios.
