Ifema y El Corte Inglés se unen para promocionar el turismo internacional en Madrid

Ambas entidades desarrollarán diversas actuaciones en sus campañas de marketing, comunicación o intercambios de marca que contribuyan a apoyar el potencial del sector de Ferias y Congresos. Ifema, el mayor operador ferial de España, y El Corte Inglés han firmado un acuerdo de colaboración con el fin de impulsar el turismo internacional en Madrid. Esta alianza se verá reforzada por intercambios presenciales de ambas marcas en espacios estratégicos de sus respectivas instalaciones, que favorecerán el flujo de potenciales visitantes.

Por un lado, IFEMA en sus principales ferias y congresos de carácter internacional, y por otro EL CORTE INGLÉS, en sus principales centros de España y en particular en el centro de Castellana. A ello se sumarán diversas iniciativas de comunicación de amplio alcance que llevarán a cabo ambos entidades a nivel internacional. En el ámbito congresual, España ocupa el tercer puesto como país con mayor actividad de congresos y eventos celebrados, y Madrid, el segundo como ciudad, con mayor número de congresos celebrados a nivel mundial.

Una posición en la que Ifema juega un papel fundamental como la principal contribuidora con alrededor de 500 actos, y con la concentración en 2014 de un total de ocho grandes congresos internacionales que movilizarán la asistencia de más de 50.000 profesionales de todo el mundo, generando para Madrid una ocupación hotelera de más de 150 mil plazas para la ciudad. En lo referente al turismo de compras, España se ha convertido en el cuarto país del mundo preferido para este segmento turístico. Sólo en nuestro territorio los viajeros extracomunitarios dejan 1.100 millones de euros. Según apuntan los expertos, pocos sectores tienen tanta capacidad para impulsar el crecimiento y crear empleo como el turismo de negocios y las compras. Además, si se aprovechan conjuntamente, pueden ejercer una influencia inmensa en la marca y el posicionamiento de un destino como Madrid.
