Crecimiento moderado de las exportaciones del primer semestre de 2014

En el primer semestre de 2014, las exportaciones españolas de mercancías han aumentado un 0,5% interanual, hasta la cantidad de 119.265,3 millones de euros, lo que supone un máximo en la serie histórica en el periodo (desde 1971). En términos reales el crecimiento ha sido mayor, un 0,9%, al disminuir un 0,4% los precios de las exportaciones aproximados por los Índices de Valores Unitarios (IVUs).

Además, las exportaciones acumuladas españolas han mostrado mejor comportamiento que las exportaciones francesas (-1,8%) y las de Reino Unido (-14,7%), aunque se han situado por debajo de las alemanas (2,4%). Fuera de la UE, las exportaciones de Estados Unidos han crecido un 2,9% mientras que las de Japón han aumentado un 3,2% en los seis primeros meses de 2014. Teniendo en cuenta el segundo trimestre del año, de abril a junio, y comparándolo con el trimestre anterior, que va de enero a marzo, las exportaciones se han incrementado un 4,2% intertrimestral. Las exportaciones han recuperado fuerza de abril a junio tras un primer trimestre de mayor debilidad exportadora. En volumen, descontando el efecto de los precios, las exportaciones de bienes se han incrementado un 4,5% intertrimestral en el segundo trimestre.

Por su parte, las importaciones han sumado 131.147,7 millones de euros, con una subida del 5,3% respecto al mismo periodo del año 2013. En términos reales las importaciones han crecido un 8,1% al descender sus precios aproximados por los IVUs un 2,6%. El impulso de la demanda interna por la recuperación económica está motivando en gran medida el crecimiento de las importaciones. En términos de comparativa intertrimestral, las importaciones se han incrementado un 2,1% en el segundo trimestre del año con respecto al primero. En volumen, las importaciones han aumentado un 1,0% intertrimestral. En el primer semestre de 2014, el déficit comercial alcanzó los 11.882,4 millones de euros, mientras que de enero a junio de 2013 el déficit fue de 5.824,2 millones. El superávit no energético ha registrado la cifra de 8.416,7 millones de euros y el déficit energético se ha reducido un 3,5%, hasta los 20.299,1 millones de euros. La tasa de cobertura se ha situado en el 90,9%, 4,4 puntos inferior a la del mismo periodo del año pasado (95,3%).
