Bankia prevé que el proceso de ajuste de sus oficinas esté completo en un año

Bankia comenzará en marzo el proceso de ajuste de su red de oficinas en el marco del Plan de Reestructuración aprobado por las autoridades europeas y españolas el pasado mes de noviembre.

Pese a que el plazo otorgado a la entidad para llevar a cabo el proceso de ajuste es de tres años, Bankia pretende acelerar los pasos y tener culminada la práctica totalidad del proceso dentro de un año, con el fin de dotar de estabilidad a la franquicia y preservar la mejor calidad en la atención a los clientes. En paralelo a la reestructuración de la red se producirá también el ajuste de los Servicios Centrales.

Una vez acabado el proceso, Bankia contará con alrededor de 2.000 oficinas y seguirá siendo una franquicia de ámbito nacional, con una mayor concentración en los territorios de origen del grupo y sus ámbitos de influencia.

El presidente de Bankia, José Ignacio Goirigolzarri, afirmó que “esta reordenación es necesaria para mejorar la eficiencia y la rentabilidad de Bankia, garantiza la viabilidad del proyecto y la posibilidad de retornar el apoyo público recibido”. “Con una red de 2.000 oficinas, Bankia seguirá teniendo presencia en todo el territorio nacional y preservará el empleo de 14.500 personas”.
