China e Italia se consolidan como los principales socios del puerto de Valencia

Según los datos de la Autoridad Portuaria de Valencia, China sigue encabezando el ranking de los socios comerciales de Valenciaport. En 2011 se movieron un total de 7.973.055 toneladas con origen/destino al país asiático, lo que supone un incremento del 3,74% y lo consolida como principal socio comercial del enclave valenciano . En 2011 crecieron los tránsitos, que alcanzaron un volumen de 3.625.814 toneladas, y aumentó la exportación a China en algo más de 200.000 toneladas, mientras que la importación bajo en menos de 300.000.

Italia, segundo socio comercial de Valenciaport por volumen de tráfico, experimenta un crecimiento aún mayor, un 18,61%, y acumula 4.585.596 toneladas, 719.353 más que en el año anterior.

Sin embargo, Brasil tercer país en el ranking por países del puerto de Valencia, registró en 2011 un descenso de 16,93%. La caída, que incide directamente en la bajada de Sudamérica Atlántico en el ranking por áreas geográficas (-13,65%), se debe fundamentalmente al descenso de los tránsitos. Los trasbordos con Brasil han perdido 700.000 toneladas en el último año y han influido negativamente en la balanza del intercambio comercial con el mercado brasileño.

Por otro lado, países como Egipto, que en 2010 registró una positiva evolución en los niveles de intercambio con Valenciaport, han experimentado notables descensos (-24,84%), en este caso debido en gran parte a la inestabilidad en el norte de África.

Destaca el aumento del 20,20% en las relaciones comerciales con Argelia, que acumulan 3.546.596 toneladas, y también del 10,45% en los intercambios con Canadá, que asciende a 3.089.811 toneladas (+10,45%), aunque la mayor parte corresponde a trasbordos, concretamente 2.803.810 toneladas.

Por áreas, Mediterráneo-Mar Negro copa algo más del 25% del tráfico total del puerto de Valencia. De los 65.475.696 toneladas movidas en 2011, 16.402.828 corresponden a los países de esta zona. La segunda área en el ranking es Extremo Oriente, con 10.903.374 toneladas y un aumento del 5,47% en relación a 2010.
