África Central en el punto de mira de las inversiones españolas

África Central se ha convertido en una región con un gran potencial para el desarrollo de negocios y para los productos españoles, los cuales son muy apreciados entre los cuatro países.

Como parte del Plan África 2009–2012, España trabaja con bloques regionales como la Comunidad Económica de Estados de África del Oeste (ECOWAS), la Comunidad de Desarrollo del Sur de África (SADC) y la Comunidad de África del Este (EAC) para mejorar la integración económica de la región. Sus intervenciones se basan, principalmente, en impulsar el desarrollo de los sectores de la pesca, el turismo, las energías renovables y los proyectos de infraestructura para que los países africanos puedan competir en los mercados internacionales.

Las oportunidades de negocio que pueden encontrar las empresas españolas son variadas. El comportamiento y la evolución de la economía local se rigen por las dotaciones de los recursos de estos países y por las necesidades que no pueden cubrir sus propios mercados, necesitando del exterior para satisfacer su demanda.

Guinea Ecuatorial, ha registrado un crecimiento récord en los últimos quince años, las empresas españolas pueden beneficiarse de su proximidad cultural y lingüística, además de ser una puerta de acceso a otros países de la región subsahariana. Por otro lado, Camerún ofrece entre sus atractivos un gran tamaño de mercado, al contar con una población que ronda los 20 millones de habitantes; mientras que Gabón se encuentra entre los que poseen una importante producción de materias primas y petróleo. El archipiélago Santo Tomé y Príncipe ofrece la oportunidad de invertir en un sector turístico que va más allá del concepto de sol y playa.
