El turismo de cruceros deja en nuestros puertos más de 230 millones de euros

Según un estudio de Cruises News Media Group, los 3.200.757 pasajeros de cruceros que han llegado a los puertos españoles los seis primeros meses del año, se han gastado más de 230 millones de euros (4% más que en 2010), lo que ha supuesto una fuerte inyección para nuestra economía.

Para Andres Mira, director general de Cruises News Media Group, “estos datos refuerzan el papel de España como destino de cruceros y clarifican el debate si este tipo de turismo es rentable para los destinos españoles”.

El impacto económico del sector cruceros en España será uno de los temas claves que se debatirán el en INTERNATIONAL CRUISE SUMMIT que, organizado por Cruises News Media Group, se celebrará en Madrid los próximos 26,27 y 28 de octubre. Este evento será el primer foro del conocimiento mundial del sector de los cruceros que se desarrolla en España.

Barcelona recibió de enero a junio de 2011, un total de 999.845 pasajeros, ocupa el primer puesto en el ranking de destinos por impacto económico, con un más de 96 millones de euros, fruto, entre otras cosas, de su posición de predominio como puerto base. Tras el puerto catalán, las Islas Canarias recibieron más de 50 millones de euros de la mano de los 408.117 pasajeros que llegaron al Puerto de Las Palmas y los 411.187 cruceristas que hicieron lo propio en el Puerto de Tenerife.

Los Puertos de Baleares acogieron un total de 554.684 pasajeros de cruceros, que han dejado un impacto económico de más de 36 millones de euros; en el cuarto lugar se sitúa Málaga, que ha recibido cerca de 16 millones de euros, de los 243.794 cruceristas que pasaron por su
puerto.

Cádiz (9.480.200 euros), Valencia (7.440.900 euros) y Vigo (6.650.500 euros) representan otros destinos con un buen comportamiento en cuanto a impacto económico. Los crecimientos más significativos se dan en Bilbao, donde sólo en los seis primeros meses del año, ya casi sobrepasan la inversión de los cruceristas de todo el 2010 (1.739,700 euros), Gijón, que con 833.820 euros de impacto económico, triplica sus ingresos de 2010 .
