Rhenus Logistics será la encargada de la logística de Shell España

Rhenus Logistics, compañía española perteneciente al grupo internacional Rhenus, ha sido la elegida por Shell España para realizar las tareas de logística y transporte de sus productos lubricantes desde las instalaciones que tiene el operador en Tarragona.

Desde las instalaciones de Rhenus Logistics en la ciudad catalana como punto neurálgico, los productos de Shell serán gestionados y manipulados en tareas de logística, preparación de pedidos y distribución nacional, tanto grupaje como cargas parciales y completas. Los servicios se completan con transporte internacional, grupaje y FTL.

La operativa se beneficiará de la cercanía entre las instalaciones tarraconenses del operador logístico con el almacén de Shell localizado en La Canonja, también en Tarragona. A ello se suma la certificación SQAS recientemente obtenida por estas instalaciones de Rhenus Logistics, que acredita la capacidad de la misma para operar las especificaciones de la industria química.

Sancho López-Lorenzo, gerente de Rhenus Logistics Tarragona,explicó que “este acuerdo supone confirmar nuestra experiencia y calidad de servicio en el ámbito de la logística para el sector química”. Y es que la gestión de los productos de Shell supone una manipulación especial debido a sus especiales características y también a los diferentes tipos de envases.

Por lo que se refiere al volumen de esta colaboración, López-Lorenzo estima que “se realizarán en torno a 1.300 expediciones por mes que se beneficiarán de la capacidad e instalaciones del grupo tanto en España como en el resto de Europa”.
