La piedra natural de Almería busca oportunidades de negocio en Brasil

La Consejería de Economía, Innovación y Ciencia, a través de Extenda-Agencia Andaluza de Promoción Exterior, ha organizado una misión del sector de la piedra natural de Almería a la feria “Vitoria Stone Fair 2011” que finalizará el próximo 18 de febrero en la ciudad brasileña de Vitoria, en el estado de Espirito Santo.

El objetivo de esta acción es buscar oportunidades de negocio para el sector, y en concreto para potenciar la marca Macael, en el mercado brasileño. Para ello ha apoyado la presencia en este importante certamen de la Asociación de Empresarios del Mármol de Andalucía, el Centro Tecnológico Andaluz de la Piedra (CTAP), la Fundación Marca Macael y Macaedis (proyecto empresarial formado por seis empresas e impulsado por la Fundación Centro Tecnológico Andaluz de la Piedra).

La muestra “Vitoria Stone Fair”, recoge la oferta internacional del sector de la piedra y de la industria relacionada con el sector. En su edición de 2010, fue visitada por 450 empresas de 25 países y superó los 23.000 visitantes de 65 países en un espacio de 35.000 metros cuadrados.

El certamen concentra la mayor parte de la compañías procesadoras de rocas ornamentales de Latinoamérica, y acuden a la feria compañías que se dedican a la extracción y comercialización; proveedores de insumos, máquinas, equipos, herramientas y servicios; empresas que forman parte de la cadena productiva de la construcción civil, arquitectos y decoradores. Además están presentes entidades de comercio exterior y logística y organismos de fomento y apoyo al sector.

Extenda, considera a Brasil un mercado prioritario por su rápido crecimiento. La Agencia Andaluza de Promoción Exterior, cuenta con una experiencia en Brasil de 12 años, cuando abrió la Oficina de Promoción de Negocios en Sao Paulo, una de las áreas detectadas con mayores oportunidades de negocio sobre todo para las empresas dedicadas a obra civil o en materia de comunicaciones e infraestructuras. En concreto, en el sector inmobiliario el país tiene un déficit de 7,8 millones de viviendas, lo que le convierte en un destino a tener en cuenta. La celebración del Mundial de Fútbol 2014 y los Juegos Olímpicos de 2016 son otras fuentes de negocio.
