Emirates suscribe un acuerdo multimillonario con Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce, la compañía global dedicada a la fabricación de motores, ha firmado con Emirates un contrato TotalCare® a largo plazo por valor de 2.200 millones de dólares estadounidenses que incluye los motores Trent de 70 aviones Airbus A350XWB. Gracias a el acuerdo, los 128 aviones de la aerolínea con motores Rolls-Royce estarán cubiertos por el servicio TotalCare®.

Tim Clark, Presidente de Emirates Airline , afirmó “Los 70 aviones del modelo A350 que Emirates ha encargado jugarán un papel destacado en nuestro crecimiento a medida que vayan siendo entregados en los próximos años. Este contrato TotalCare® con Rolls-Royce es un paso importante para asegurar que el coste del ciclo de vida de los motores de nuestros A350 XWB se gestionará de manera eficiente y que se cumplirán los más altos estándares. Como usuarios antiguos de TotalCare®, estamos muy satisfechos de mantener este vínculo con Rolls-Royce para introducir mejoras operacionales adicionales,”

Por otra parte, el presidente de Rolls-Royce, Mark King señaló “Estamos muy contentos por firmar este contrato con Emirates, un importante cliente que ya cuenta con tres tipos de motores Trent en servicio. Gracias a este acuerdo, todos los modelos de Emirates con motores Rolls-Royce cuentan, o contarán, con el refuerzo de los paquetes TotalCare® , de destacado valor añadido y que permiten a nuestros clientes optimizar sus operaciones,” indicó Mark King, Presidente de Rolls-Royce para el Espacio Aéreo Civil.

El nuevo contrato TotalCare® para motores Trent XWB es el resultado del contrato que Rolls-Royce ganó hace un par de meses por valor de 1.200 millones de dólares para el mantenimiento de los motores Trent 700 de 27 Airbus A330s y los motores Trent 800 de 21 Boeing 777s.
