La oferta agroalimentaria andaluza se presenta en Pekin

Un total de 70 representantes de cadenas de distribución, importadores y prensa especializada de China se dieron cita el pasado 1 de diciembre a la presentación del sector agroalimentario andaluz organizada por la Consejería de Economía, Innovación y Ciencia, a través de Extenda, en el restaurante Agua de Pekín.

Esta acción, tiene como objetivo atraer la atención del canal profesional chino sobre las marcas andaluzas presentes en el mercado.

Durante el evento, y a través de una cena en la que no falto el aceite virgen extra, el vino de Jerez y el jamón, técnicos especializados realizaron una presentación de las cualidades de cada uno de estos productos andaluzas, aludiendo a las marcas andaluzas presentes en el mercado.

Las exportaciones andaluzas de productos agroalimentario y bebidas a China supusieron de enero a septiembre de 2010 un total de 22 millones de euros, un 55% más que en el mismo periodo del año anterior. El 70% de estas exportaciones pertenecen a aceite y un 20,4% a bebidas. Por provincias, Sevilla (45,4%), Cadiz (19%) y Málaga (16%) lideran las ventas al mercado chino.

El producto más exportado es el aceite, desde que en 2006 la Junta de Andalucía puso en marcha la campaña de promoción de consumo de aceite de oliva, el valor de las exportaciones se ha multiplicado por seis.

Según estudios de mercado realizados por Extenda en Pekín y Shanghái (principales núcleos de consumo), el 66% de la población conoce el aceite de oliva y el 52% se declara consumidor. Se le considera un producto de alta calidad, cuyo consumo está principalmente vinculado a sus propiedades saludables y que se emplea principalmente como aderezo de platos fríos, para saltear o como cosmético. Por tanto, las posibilidades de crecimiento del sector en este mercado son enormes, tanto en número de consumidores como en los usos.

Durante 2009, un total de 381 empresas andaluzas exportaron productos a China, lo que supone un 10% más que en el ejercicio anterior. De todas ellas, 76 son exportadoras regulares (mantienen la actividad durante los últimos 4 años seguidos), con un incremento del 17%. Ambos aspectos se han triplicado y cuadriplicado, respectivamente, desde que Extenda abrió su primera oficina en el país.
