Industria destinará 200 millones a impulsar los contenidos digitales en 2011

El ministro de Industria, Turismo y Comercio, Miguel Sebastián, anunció durante la conferencia inaugural del Foro Internacional de Contenidos Digitales (FICOD) un Plan de Impulso de los Contenidos Digitales para 2011 dotado con 200 millones de euros.

Sebastián destacó que «en los próximos 15 años el sector TIC será el segundo más importante de los sectores por delante de la construcción o el automóvil».

La apuesta del Gobierno por este sector se refleja en la puesta en marcha, en el marco del Plan Avanza2, de un Plan de Impulso de la Industria de Contenidos Digitales, dotado con un presupuesto superior a los 200 millones de euros en 2011, anunció el ministro.

El plan tiene como objetivo aumentar el tamaño, la capacidad y la competitividad de la industria española de contenidos digitales, un elemento imprescindible del nuevo modelo de crecimiento, y propiciar su participación mayor y más activa del sector en la economía global.

Durante su intervención, Sebastián aseguró que desde el Ministerio de Industria y desde el Gobierno es necesario potenciar la industria tecnológica y para ello han desarrollado políticas de banda ancha e innovación tecnológica.

«Para los próximos cuatro años la extensión de banda ancha y el aumento de la velocidad serán el factor clave para potenciar el sector. La mejora de la disponibilidad del espectro radioeléctrico es clave para desarrollar estas políticas», aseguró Sebastián al mismo tiempo que afirmó que “todas las acciones estarán potenciadas con el Plan Avanza 2 con un presupuesto de más de 200 millones de euros con el objetivo de aumentar el tamaño, la velocidad y la competitividad de la industria de contenidos digitales».

En 2009 España facturó 8.000 millones de euros gracias a la industria de contenidos digitales, creciendo un 33 por ciento. Esta industria supone ya el 8% de facturación del sector TIC. El ministro señaló que uno de los factores que ha contribuido a este crecimiento es el comercio electrónico, uno de los ejes temáticos de FICOD.

El ministro agradeció la participación de Alemania en el Foro afirmando que «Alemania, además de ser un país que ha ayudado a España en la evolución tecnológica, es un país líder en contenidos digitales que apuesta como España en que es el futuro».
