El Tesoro emite letras de hasta 4.000 millones

El Tesoro Público se somete hoy a una nueva prueba en los mercados con una emisión de letras a 3 y 6 meses en un contexto de alta desconfianza ante el rescate de Irlanda y el eventual contagio a otros países como Portugal o España. El organismo espera colocar entre 3.000 y 4.000 millones de euros.

Las nuevas dudas que azotan a los mercados pueden elevar notablemente los tipos de la subasta, tal y como ocurrió la semana pasada en la emisión de letras a 12 y 18 meses del martes y en la subasta de obligaciones del jueves.

De hecho, el diferencial de la deuda española con el bono alemán, que a primera hora de la mañana bajó de los 200 puntos, se ha vuelto a elevar horas después por encima de esta tasa, aunque ha logrado estabilizarse en ese nivel tras haber superado su máximo histórico hace algo más de una semana.

Así, la emisión de hoy volverá a estar marcada por los nervios y falta de credibilidad de los mercados en España, que tiene por delante la difícil tarea de convencer a los inversores de que no es Irlanda ni Portugal.

En este contexto, el presidente del Gobierno, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, presentó el pasado jueves un Plan de Acción para consolidar la recuperación en los próximos 15 meses y puso de manifiesto la firmeza con la que el Gobierno desarrollará la agenda de reformas.

En la última subasta de letras a 3 y 6 meses, que se celebró el 26 de octubre, los tipos también subieron, aunque en aquella ocasión el repunte estuvo motivado por rebaja del ‘rating’ por parte de la única agencia de calificación crediticia que mantenía el sobresaliente para España (Moody’s).

Subastas de diciembre

El Tesoro cuenta sólo con cuatro oportunidades más en diciembre para apagar la desconfianza en los mercados. La primera de ellas tendrá lugar el jueves 2 de diciembre con una emisión de bonos a 3 años con cupón 2,50% y con un vencimiento a 31 de octubre de 2013.

Dos semanas después, el 14 de diciembre, el Tesoro realizará una nueva subasta de letras a tres y seis meses, mientras y el jueves 16 emitirá obligaciones a 10 años con un cupón del 4,85% y con vencimiento a 31 de octubre de 2020.

Finalmente, la entidad dependiente del Ministerio de Economía y Hacienda cerrará el calendario de subastas con una nueva emisión de letras a 3 y 6 meses que tendrá lugar el martes 21 de diciembre.

España no es Irlanda

En la antesala de estas subastas, tanto el Banco de España como distintos miembros el Gobierno han aprovechado numerosos actos públicos a lo largo de la pasada semana para intentar despejar las dudas y calmar a los mercados.
