Clausurado el 1er Congreso Internacional de Calidad Turística

El desarrollo del I Congreso Internacional de Calidad Turística celebrado en Santander durante estos días, ha llevado a analizar la situación actual del sector turístico, así como a establecer nuevas pautas de actuación a los agentes implicados en el mismo.

Con este primer encuentro internacional, el ICTE ha reunido en un mismo escenario a 40 máximos representantes del sector, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional, entre ellos el Secretario General de Turismo, Joan Mesquida; el Ministro de Turismo de Colombia, Sergio Díaz-Granados; Consejeros y Directores Generales de turismo, Presidentes y Secretarios Generales de las patronales españolas, Directores Generales de Turismo, Alcaldes y concejales de diferentes municipios, empresarios, etc.
En el transcurso de este congreso todos los ponentes coincidieron en la “calidad” como herramienta de gestión y elemento diferenciador de la oferta turística española e internacional. De la misma forma, se debatió sobre el Sistema de Calidad Turístico Español y la utilización de nuevas tecnologías aplicadas a los nuevos hábitos de consumo turístico.
El Secretario General de Turismo, Joan Mesquida, señaló durante la Conferencia Inaugural, la función relevante del ICTE en todo el sector, así como el impulso del instituto a la hora de desarrollar este Ier. Congreso Internacional de Calidad Turística cuyas conclusiones marcarán las pautas a seguir por aquellos países que quieran sumarse a esta iniciativa de la que España es pionera desde hace más de 10 años.
Miguel Mirones, Presidente del ICTE, finalizó reiterando que “la calidad está en todo el sector turístico” añadiendo que “la Q está muy viva y prueba de ello es el poder de convocatoria que ha reunido a más de 450 profesionales en torno a una Marca” para finalizar recordando que España es líder mundial en normalización turística y está colaborando con otros países para aportar la experiencia española en este campo.
En la cena de gala de este congreso, a la que asistieron numerosas personalidades, se hizo entrega de las Qs de Calidad Turística a los establecimientos que han obtenido la certificación durante 2010.
