Sebastián afirma que las empresas internacionalizadas afrontan mejor la crisis

El ministro de Industria, Turismo y comercio, realizó estas declaraciones durante su participación en el Gobal India Business Meeting (GIBM), que hoy concluye en Madrid.

El ministro de Industria, Turismo y comercio, Miguel Sebastián, participó ayer en el acto inaugural del Gobal India Business Meeting (GIBM), que hoy concluye en Madrid. El GIBM se celebra anualmente en Europa y es el principal encuentro entre empresarios y líderes indios y del resto del mundo. El evento, organizado a nivel estatal por el Ministerio de Industria, Turismo y Comercio, a través del Instituto de Comercio Exterior (ICEX) e Invest in Spain, junto con Casa Asia y, a nivel local, por el Ayuntamiento de Madrid y la CAM, a través de Promomadrid, congregó en el acto de ayer a 300 presidentes y consejeros delegados corporaciones y representantes oficiales de diversos gobiernos.

Durante su intervención, Sebastián destacó el buen comportamiento de las exportaciones españolas, que en los tres primeros meses de 2010 aumentaron en un 15% con respecto al mismo periodo del año pasado. España, junto con Alemania, es el único país europeo que ha mejorado su participación en el comercio mundial en los tres últimos años.
En ese sentido, y según palabras del ministro, «España está aplicando un riguroso plan económico que incluye un paquete de austeridad en el sector público, una severa disciplina fiscal y reformas como las incluidas en la Ley de Economía Sostenible, la liberalización del sector servicios así como la reforma del mercado laboral».

Dentro del comercio mundial, Asia es una región que concentra economías con un enorme potencial, como la Índica. El Gobierno español, a través del Ministerio de Industria, Turismo y Comercio, ha elaborado un Plan de Desarrollo General para la India, país que se ha visto escasamente afectado por la crisis mundial y que ofrece un mercado de más de mil millones de consumidores con un enorme potencial de crecimiento y con una estimación de aumento del PIB que ronda el 9% para 2010. El GIBM tiene entre sus objetivos el beneficio mutuo de las empresas mediante el establecimiento de unos lazos más estrechos y de un conocimiento mutuo más profundo. España comparte con todos los demás países presentes en la reunión la voluntad de establecer unas sinergias positivas con la India a través de la fortaleza de su crecimiento y del potencial de su mercado.

En el año 2009 España exportó a India por valor de 796,9 millones de euros con un aumento del 3,7% respecto al año anterior. Las principales exportaciones fueron de los sectores de bienes de equipo, productos químicos y semimanufacturas no químicas. Por lo que se refiere a las importaciones de India, alcanzaron 1.837,8 millones de euros con un descenso del 21,4%. Las principales importaciones se registraron en los sectores de manufacturas de consumo, productos químicos, bienes de equipo y alimentos.
