Proyecto Backgrounds

Durante los días 10 y 11 de marzo tendrá lugar en Marsella (Francia) la segunda reunión del proyecto correspondiente al Programa Operativo MED “Improving Productive Clusters Accessibility to Global Market” (BACKGROUNDS), organizada por el Gran Puerto Marítimo de Marsella (Francia).

El objetivo principal del proyecto BACKGOUNDS es el desarrollo de un modelo de gobierno que involucre a los puertos y las infraestructuras portuarias del Mediterráneo, así como promover una mejor integración de los polos con sus propios territorios y con los clusters productivos más relevantes. Se pretende integrar las peculiaridades locales en el marco del mercado global.

El consorcio que se reunirá en Marsella recoge las distintas peculiaridades del contexto mediterráneo. En concreto, las actividades del proyecto se desarrollarán en el Norte y Sur de Italia (Liguria y Sicilia), en el Este de Grecia (Patras), en el Sur de los Balcanes (Thesalonica), en el Centro-Este de España (Comunidad Valenciana), en Francia (Marsella) y en el Norte del mar Adriático (Eslovenia).

El proyecto BACKGROUNDS proveerá de herramientas eficaces para hacer frente de una manera funcional y operacional a los problemas de tráfico de personas y bienes en el Mediterráneo. Además, se experimentará una red intermodal en las regiones participantes, así como un modelo que enlace dichas áreas con los territorios del interior.

Durante esta segunda reunión se pondrá en común las acciones realizadas hasta la fecha por los distintos socios del proyecto. A esta reunión del proyecto BACKGROUNDS asistirán todos los componentes del consorcio formado por el Gran Puerto Marítimo de Marsella, la Región Liguria, el Puerto de Koper (Eslovenia), el Centro de Investigación y Tecnología de Hellas (Thesalonica), la Auotirdad Portuaria de Patras (Grecia) y FEPORTS estando todos ellos coordinados por el Jefe de Fila del proyecto que es el Departamento de Infraestructuras y Transporte de la Región de Sicilia.
