APV y el puerto de Shezhen se alían para consolidar sus relaciones comerciales

El presidente de la Autoridad Portuaria de Valencia, Rafael Aznar, y el subdirector general del Transportation Bureau Shenzhen Municipality -gestor del puerto asiático de Shenzhen- Ma Yongzhi, han firmado esta semana un acuerdo marco de colaboración para el desarrollo del comercio bilateral entre ambos puertos. La finalidad de este acuerdo es estrechar los lazos entre las dos entidades portuarias.

Ambos mandatarios persiguen el desarrollo de negocios entre dos plataformas logísticas de primer orden que en los últimos años han experimentado crecimientos notables, sobre todo en el tráfico de contenedores. Las dos entidades trabajarán conjuntamente en materia de gestión, protección del medio ambiente, tecnología, formación del personal y seguridad portuaria. El acuerdo, permitirá promover amplios intercambios y cooperación entre las respectivas regiones.

El puerto de Shenzhen está situado en Cantón, la principal provincia exportadora de China. En 2009 registró un movimiento de contenedores de 18,3 millones de TEUs, y un movimiento total de mercancías de 194 millones de toneladas.

La firma de este acuerdo servirá como antesala de su colaboración en el Comité de Gobernanza del Clúster Portuario (PCGC) ya que el puerto de Shenzhen es uno de los once puertos seleccionados para participar, como caso de estudio, en la Guía de Mejores Prácticas que está elaborando esta entidad, creado a raíz de la concesión por parte del Global Institute of Logistics (GIL) del galardón Best in class al cluster portuario de Valenciaport.

La Autoridad Portuaria de Valencia como colaborador oficial de la Fundación Madrid Ciudad Global 2010 que participará en la Exposición Universal de Shanghai. Valenciaport estará presente en el pabellón como puerto marítimo de referencia de Madrid, una de las quince ciudades del mundo que contará con pabellón propio en la exposición asiática.

La implicación de Valenciaport en este certamen permitirá reforzar las relaciones comerciales con China. Actualmente, China es el país que mayor número de mercancías canaliza a través de Valenciaport, con más de 7,5 millones de toneladas en 2009.
